What you will learn

Listening

This part of the test is 30–43 minutes long and it contains eight different question types.This part of the exam is entirely audio-based. The questions are based on content that is visual, such as video or pictures – so automatically you’ll have a fair advantage over those who cannot read while they hear.

Reading

This section of the PTE exam is approximately 30 minutes long and contains five different question types. Because PTE Academic tests students’ integrated skills, there are also writing components embedded within multiple questions (one item type) and an item type specifically designed to assess reading comprehension.

Speaking & Writing

This portion of the test is 54–67 minutes long and contains seven different question types. It is the longest section of the exam and it explores your knowledge of business English which you might have heard in an academic setting.
